Are you a passionate culinary leader with strong kitchen operations experience and a commitment to high-quality, scratch-made food ? One of the food service industry's most respected providers is seeking a Sous Chef to assist in leading our kitchen and back-of-house operations for a premier single- contract dining account in Cincinnati, Ohio .

About the Role:

As the Sous Chef , you'll serve as the heart of the kitchen —helping to plan daily menus , leading culinary operations, and working closely with corporate leadership to deliver top-tier dining experiences for daily service, special events, meetings, and holiday functions. This is a hands-on leadership role in a scratch-cooking environment that values creativity, efficiency, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team in all culinary operations in a high-volume, from- scratch kitchen
  • Collaborate with Exec Chef to plan menus and execute special events
  • Manage food preparation for daily service and high-profile functions
  • Oversee back-of-house team, kitchen scheduling , training , and performance
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are upheld
  • Maintain inventory , manage food/labor costs , and drive budget performance
  • Foster a positive team culture with a “lead-by-example” approach

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in scratch kitchen operations
  • Prior experience in contract dining or institutional food service preferred
  • Culinary degree preferred (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Proven success in managing budgets, scheduling , and team development
  • Strong knowledge of food safety , sanitation , and kitchen compliance standards
  • Natural team builder with a “quarterback” mentality and hands-on style
  • Recent Culinary Graduates gladly considered
