Job Description
The Window and Door Installer is responsible for removing old windows and doors and installing new ones with precision, ensuring weatherproofing, security, and aesthetic quality. The role requires strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on residential or commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Safely remove old windows, doors, frames, and surrounding trim as needed
Measure openings accurately and confirm fit of new units
Install windows, patio doors, entry doors, and storm doors per manufacturer specifications
Seal, insulate, and weatherproof all installations
Apply finishing materials (e.g., trim, caulk, flashing, molding)
Ensure job site cleanliness and protection of client property
Load, unload, and transport materials to/from job sites
Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers
Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
1–3+ years of hands-on installation or construction experience (more for lead roles)
Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment
Ability to read blueprints, instructions, and schematics
Basic math and measuring skills
Physical ability to lift 50–100 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Customer-focused attitude and professional appearance
Preferred (but not required)
Experience with vinyl, wood, and aluminum frame systems
Knowledge of waterproofing/flashing best practices
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Experience working on new construction and retrofit projects
