About the Role You’ll own the design and execution of Turnout’s website and related digital touchpoints. Working closely with product, marketing, and engineering, you’ll create layouts and assets that communicate trust, warmth, and ease—reflecting our brand values and simplifying complex services. You should have a strong sense of design systems, user behavior, and modern web standards. This role is ideal for someone who can move quickly, collaborate cross‑functionally, and bring structure and emotion together in design. Responsibilities Design and maintain the Turnout website using Figma. Translate brand and marketing goals into cohesive, high‑performing web pages. Work with product and marketing teams to launch new service pages, landing pages, and microsites. Implement responsive, accessible, and SEO‑friendly designs. Collaborate with engineers to ensure design fidelity and performance. Create and maintain a consistent web style guide aligned with Turnout’s evolving brand. Analyze performance data (heatmaps, conversion metrics) to improve UX and engagement. Develop visual assets, including icons, illustrations, and UI components, as needed. Requirements 3+ years of experience in web design or UI/UX design. Strong proficiency in Figma. Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and UX best practices. Experience collaborating with developers to bring designs to life. Strong eye for typography, color, and visual hierarchy. Portfolio showcasing modern, conversion‑focused web design. Comfort working in a fast‑paced, iterative startup environment. Based in or willing to work regularly from Solana Beach HQ. Bonus Skills Familiarity with SEO and performance optimization. Knowledge of brand systems, animation, and motion design. Interest in consumer advocacy, financial access, or government‑tech.
