\nRN - Med Surg Neuro
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work with adult and geriatric patients on a 40-bed medical surgical neuro unit
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 patients
\n• 2 years of experience required
\n• Must have neuro experience including Neuro-PIN, trauma, neurosurgery, stroke, and other neuro specific diagnoses
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (can substitute pending)
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• 36 hours of orientation provided
\n• Float to other units as needed
\n• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
\n• Holiday rotation required with limited requested time off during holidays
\n• Permanent Missouri license required with submission (temporary licenses not accepted)
\n• Block scheduling will be accommodated when possible
\n• Care for patients with CVA, TIA, AMS, and general medical diagnoses
\n• Handle special procedures including neuro surgeries and neuro PIN patients
\n• Must be skilled in blood product administration, central line blood draws, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and various neuro-specific procedures
\n• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
