Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• 2-3 holiday requirements from Thanksgiving to New Year's
\n• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 25-bed unit
\n• Two days of unit-specific orientation required
\n• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
\n• Must be located outside 50-mile radius from facility
\n• Driver's license required at submittal
\n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
\n• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
\n• Floating required to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients
\n• Care for Med/Surg tele patients including strokes, stable neurological deficits, post neurosurgery procedures
\n• Common patient diagnoses include joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia
\n• Titrate drips including Heparin, lidocaine, ketamine, and PCA pumps
\n• Work with EPIC charting system
\n• Focus on hourly rounding, responsiveness, and managing multiple discharges and admissions daily
\n• Serve diverse patient population including Spanish, Karen, and Burmese speaking patients
\n• Travel experience preferred but will consider strong candidates without
\n• No license or background hits allowed
