Position Summary:

\n\n

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:

\n\n

• Scrub into endovascular cases to assist surgeons during procedures
• Run and maintain Siemens equipment during cases
• Utilize PACS system to pull up imaging
• Operate c-arm equipment in open rooms for vascular surgeons during open vascular cases
• Perform laser assisted procedures and various interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, aortography, embolization, and stent placement
• Conduct endograft placement, IVC filter placement and removal, and vascular closure procedures
• Execute dialysis graft creation, revision, and interventions including fistulograms and declots
• Perform carotid stenting, central venous access/port placement, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy procedures
• Conduct upper and lower extremity angiography, renal angiography, and pelvic angiography
• Maintain sterile field and sterile technique throughout procedures
• Set up equipment and prepare access sites for procedures
• Provide accurate monitoring during procedures
• Maintain and stock equipment and supplies inventory
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Utilize fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and various imaging equipment including Philips and Siemens systems
• Work in two endovascular hybrid suites within the operating room environment
• Take call one night per week and every third weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill sets
• Use Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management system
• Maintain current ARRT certification (R and VI OR R and CV)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments as required
• Complete 2-week orientation program (80 hours)
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week

Job Requirements:

\n\n

• Active, unencumbered license in NC
\n\t
• Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
\n\t
• Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
\n\t
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
\n

• Two current clinical references

• State-required professional license
\n\t
• Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
\n\t
• TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
\n\t
• Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
\n\t
• Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
\n\t
• Must pass background check and drug screening
\n
