The Teacher Instructional Support role strengthens classroom instruction by helping teachers plan, deliver, and monitor high-quality lessons aligned to state standards and the school’s instructional model. The responsibilities include:
Support teachers in managing formative assessments and reviewing data to guide next steps.
Oversee the implementation of standards-based instruction, ensuring that pacing guides, curriculum maps, and daily lessons align to the required standards.
Monitor the use of instructional resources and online platforms by running daily and weekly usage reports.
Attend PLCs as requested and support teams through the instructional planning and delivery process.
Ensure that quarterly standards are fully taught according to pacing expectations.
Develop the formative assessment schedule and verify that weekly assessments reflect the pacing guide.
Support the Testing Coordinator with assigned tasks and duties
Review weekly assessments, enter data, monitor assessment trackers, and identify areas where students show misunderstandings or lack of mastery.
Support teachers in adjusting lessons, plan corrective instruction, and refine pacing as needed.
Interpret and share formative assessment results, and support teachers in using the data to strengthen personalized learning practices and implement the school’s Personalized Learning Instructional Plan.
Assist with analyzing assessment data—including Mastery Checks and other measures—to inform instructional decisions.
Provide demonstrations of new instructional methods and materials through model lessons, co-teaching, and targeted coaching.
Participate in weekly content meetings and collaborate with teachers to set monthly instructional goals.
Participate in Instructional Rounds, analyze trends across classrooms and schools, and help refine materials, strategies, and training based on findings.
Support the alignment of curriculum with state frameworks and ensure both vertical and horizontal alignment across grade levels to maintain an interdisciplinary approach.
Implement strategies within the School Improvement Plan and track progress towards meeting those goals.
Help integrate programs and instructional resources using evidence-based strategies that promote growth in ELA, Math, and Science.
