Rivian Sr. Warehouse Associate

Role Summary: As a Sr. Warehouse Associate, you are responsible for material handling including inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities. You will foster a safe working environment, maintain organized cleanliness, and provide feedback on improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload delivery vehicles
  • Repackage materials to meet the distribution requirements for Service Parts
  • Operate several types of powered equipment (forklift, stock chaser, etc.)
  • Identify inventory concerns based on quantity or quality discrepancies
  • Provide input into safety, quality, and throughput opportunities
  • Understand and utilize standard work
  • Maintain the proper use of equipment
  • Support general material handling request from leadership and team members
  • Participate in group efforts to foster an environment based on continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or an equivalent education preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience performing picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operating in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred)
  • Previous forklift experience (Raymond MHE preferred)
  • Comfortable with operating an order picker (Cherry Picker) above floor level
  • Ability to understand tasks and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of LEAN practices (5s, Identify Waste, Process Improvements)
  • Led or participated in a continuous improvement project
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding and compliant to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day
  • Frequent use of hands to handle materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locations
  • Required to communicate using telephone or email
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather
  • Flexible work schedule

Pay Disclosure: Salary Rate for Washington Based Applicants: $26 to $29/hr (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
