Job Description
The Allagash Tasting Room is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals with strong people skills to join our team. If you thrive on engaging with customers, providing exceptional customer service, and creating memorable experiences, read on!
As a Seasonal Tasting Room Associate, you’ll be in a frontline customer interaction role that is key to providing each visitor to the brewery with a positive experience. Summers are busy, and our friendly team works hard to make every guest feel welcome. Your day will include: greeting visitors and checking identification; clearing tables; cleaning and stocking glassware; preparing tables for next guests; straightening merchandise areas; stocking the beer cooler; supporting our tours and tasting experiences at The Cellars; working events as-needed; and generally being friendly and approachable to the diverse guests we welcome from all over the US and beyond.
We offer comprehensive training on our products, processes and story during the onboarding process. Essential is the ability to be calm and pleasant in a busy, fast-paced environment, maintain a professional attitude toward serving beer, and the ability to effectively communicate with different types of customers and coworkers. Retail, tour guide, and/or hospitality experience is a strong plus. Adaptability to change is needed as we continue to evolve our service model and safety protocols. Employee safety is paramount at Allagash.
This job is physical in nature: you will be on your feet most of the day and may require some bending and lifting. Must be at least 21 years old, able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Our seasonal period runs from July through November 1.
We are proud to provide a team oriented culture, and a strong hourly wage. This is not a tipped position. Seasonal team members may be eligible for an end-of-contract bonus. As a seasonal employee you can earn Paid Time Off, be able to contribute to a 401(k) with employer match, use our onsite fitness center and outdoor gear library, and will receive a footwear reimbursement and Allagash branded clothing for our dress code. We also have a generous discounted beer and merchandise benefit.
We value a diverse workforce and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including those from historically underrepresented communities in craft beer. Allagash is an equal opportunity employer and this position is open to all qualified candidates.
