QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5+ years of shipboard rigging experience

Technical training preferred

Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and instruments associated with the rigging trade

Must be able to work effectively with others

Must be a steady, reliable worker

Must be able to comprehend and follow simple instructions

Must be a US Citizen

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

• 5-7 years rigging experience required.
• No less than 5 years experience for 2nd class riggers
• Must have knowledge of chain fall/strap loading.
• Must be able to rig large loads safely.
• Underwater Hull propulsion rigging (rudders, propellers, fin stabilizers, shafts, etc.)
• Knowledge of ships structure, anchor chains and associated equipment, staging construction, cranes and their capacities/chart, ships mooring, etc.
• Candidate should be able to climb and have no fears of elevated heights.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and US Citizenship due to working at specific locations.
• Knowledge of underwater hull rigging of shafting, propellers, rudders, etc. is preferred.
• Previous shipyard experience is preferred.
• Must have Overhead crane experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00- $27.00 Per hour

$110 Perdiem NON LOCAL ONLY
