Save The Michaels of the world a dynamic , forward thinking organization has expanded it's presence Niagara County and looking to hire one responsible, dedicated, compassionate full time Certified Recovery Coach/Peer advocate specialist positions for our NEWFANE House of Hope Residential Reintegration Center. *Must have CRPA or CRPA-P credential * *Responsibilities include*The Certified Recovery Coach/ Peer Advocate Specialist position delivers peer support services with a primary recovery and/or Harm reduction focus. The position provides empathetic, unconditional support and encouragement as well as connection to community-based recovery resources consistent with the individuals goals and recovery wellness plan. Multiple pathways to recovery are celebrated. If you have a NYS peer certification (CRPA) or have satisfied the education requirements to become a Certified Peer specialist (CRPA-P)in the state of NY and a passion for helping those in need in a compassionate, non-judgmental, person centered way, this position is for you. OASAS Certified Peer Advocate or OMH Certified Peer specialist or provisional certification required as well as a valid NYS drivers license, and automobile in good working order. Competitive Salary and Benefit package available. * Facilitate peer groups * Conduct 1:1 peer sessions * Submit all case notes and any necessary documentation in a timely fashion. * Conduct ongoing needs assessment of individuals being coached. * Collaborate with counselors, referral sources, treatment facilities representatives and case managers if needed * Provide transportation as needed * Balance work requirements with educational opportunities such as trainings. * Support client in continuing care services post-discharge. * Help client to develop recovery plans and build recovery capital. * Raise awareness of existing social and other support services. * Model coping skills, self-care, and resilience * Support multiple pathways to recovery.
