Aurora Waldorf School is currently accepting applications for an Academic Intervention Services (AiS) Teacher for ELA and Math.
This Educational Support Team position is a part-time, in-person, school-year position (approximately 20 hours a week) providing remedial (AiS) sessions (individual and small group) for students in grades 2 through 8 needing additional support during the school day. There are weekly meetings during the school year, and faculty work days the week before school starts and the week after it ends. School begins September 3, 2025, and ends mid-June 2026.
This position is part of the Education Support Team, which provides individual support through Extra Lesson, Therapeutic Eurythmy, and Remedial (AiS) ELA and Math.
The Remedial (AiS) Teacher plays a crucial role in the Educational Support Team. They contribute to various annual assessment tasks and foster collaborative relationships in the classroom with students and faculty.
Experience in remedial reading, writing, and math is required. Candidates with training in Orton-Gillingham methods, a working knowledge of Waldorf curriculum and approaches, or both will be given preference. Proficiency with Google tools and good communication skills are necessary for interfacing with class teachers and parents.
