Waveum is a fast-growing technology company that builds high-performance, real-time platforms inspired by the principles of modern trading systems. Our architecture powers complex, multi-channel operations for large enterprises, and we are now applying this expertise to the healthcare industry. In this project, you’ll join a team building a next-generation healthcare logistics and workflow platform designed to streamline patient orders, medical equipment routing, provider coordination, and regulatory compliance. Role Overview We are seeking a Product Owner with strong healthcare industry experience who excels at translating clinical, operational, or payer/provider requirements into clear, actionable product specifications. This role requires deep familiarity with healthcare workflows and the ability to partner with Business Analysts, Engineering Leads, and offshore Product Owners to shape and refine a complex, healthcare-focused product ecosystem. The ideal candidate understands how healthcare software must function — including regulatory constraints, patient data flows, care delivery processes, and interoperability considerations — and can convert that domain knowledge into well-defined product requirements. This position focuses on product definition, backlog ownership, and functional clarity, not Scrum Master or sprint management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Product & Requirements Management Own and refine the product backlog with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. Collaborate with Business Analysts to capture detailed healthcare use cases, clarify clinical/operational requirements, and structure them into precise functional specifications. Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect real-world clinical, administrative, or care‑delivery processes. Ensure product decisions incorporate healthcare‑specific constraints such as compliance, auditability, HIPAA/PHI handling, and integration with external systems. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Engineering Leads to ensure healthcare domain requirements are technically feasible and correctly interpreted. Coordinate daily with offshore Product Owners to align on workflows, business rules, and the nuances of healthcare domain logic across time zones. Partner with QA teams to define test cases that accurately represent healthcare scenarios and regulatory requirements. Support stakeholders across clinical operations, business operations, and compliance teams. Maintain a structured, prioritized backlog based on healthcare value, patient impact, regulatory risk, and operational importance. Ensure backlog items map to broader healthcare product goals, regulatory expectations, and integration roadmaps. Maintain traceability between requirements, clinical workflows, data models, and business outcomes. Product Quality & Delivery Support Participate in feature reviews to validate that implemented functionality aligns with healthcare requirements, standards, and expectations. Support UAT by validating healthcare workflows, test scenarios, and data handling rules. Identify healthcare‑related risks early (clinical accuracy, compliance gaps, workflow issues). Required Qualifications Healthcare industry experience is required. Clinical or patient‑care workflows Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Home Health, care coordination Payer/provider processes Medical scheduling, intake, referrals, or claims Healthcare operations or logistics Software built for HIPAA‑regulated environments 10+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or product‑focused role. Experience working with offshore or distributed product and engineering teams. Strong ability to write clear, structured, and technically aligned requirements. Experience collaborating closely with Business Analysts and Engineering Leads. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Hands‑on experience with Jira and Confluence. Strong analytical and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with interoperability (HL7, FHIR, APIs), healthcare data models, or healthcare integrations. Understanding of microservices, workflow engines, and modern enterprise architectures. Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST). Background in large‑scale healthcare or medical logistics software. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or related field. Product certifications (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM) are a plus. Salary Range US $100,000–$130,000 annual base, depending on experience, plus benefits and potential performance bonus. The role is structured as a three‑month contract‑to‑hire arrangement, with the possibility of earlier conversion to full‑time employment based on demonstrated impact, collaboration, and delivery. #J-18808-Ljbffr Waveum
