SLUCare, representing the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University, is currently seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant for a PRN/Fill-In opportunity. This position offers competitive hourly pay along with malpractice insurance coverage.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in Interventional Radiology procedures is highly preferred.
• Previous work as a Surgical PA with a background in vascular surgery, wound care, or hospitalist/ICU is beneficial.
• Master's Degree from a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
• Certification as a physician assistant in Missouri or the ability to obtain this certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with patients.
• A commitment to staying updated with advancements in healthcare and continuously improving clinical skills.

Core responsibilities:

• Focus primarily on inpatient procedures with some involvement in outpatient clinics.
• Availability for 3-4 shifts per week, managing approximately 10-15 patients per day.
• Perform procedures including venous access, PICC lines, mid lines, arterial lines, and ports.
• Conduct minor bedside procedures such as catheter and suture removals.
• No after-hours call required.
