Summary of Position Duties The scheduler ensures that Operations' shifts are filled at all times, including when vacancies are caused by vacation, disability leave, outages, training, emergency situations, special assignments, meetings, etc. by defining unscheduled open times on shift schedule. The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following: Calling employees in order of overtime eligibility; and defining work schedule of exempt and IBEW contract employees Ensuring that vacation requests, disability leave notifications, or other miscellaneous absences follow the IBEW contract, and local plant agreements Scheduling and tracking the training of shift employees for classroom, simulator, in-plant, and on-the-job training in support of the Operations Training Coordinator Performing timekeeping duties for the Operations department Performing PQ&S regulated NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and system updates as required Performing other miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed Job Requirements Qualifying on the SHL clerical aptitude test and the SkillCheck skills test (required) Experience working with Union covered employees in an industrial environment (preferred) 2 years nuclear power plant experience (preferred) Thorough knowledge of the site‑applicable IBEW contract, federal regulations governing overtime, and company policies related to overtime/vacation/disability leave/call out (preferred) Thorough knowledge of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Work Hour Rules (preferred) Experience working with PQ&S work hours tracking software. (preferred) Thorough knowledge of Oracle timekeeping procedures (preferred) Understanding of rotating shift scheduling Demonstrated computer skills Effective interpersonal skills to work with others Good oral and written communication skills Proven customer relations Planning, organizing, problem solving, and decision‑making skills Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without close supervision Ability to resolve conflicts while working well within a team Ability to treat confidential information regarding discipline, FMLA or any other sensitive information pertinent to employees Ability to work flexible hours to meet departmental needs in reference to overtime including possible nights, weekends, and additional support during outages #J-18808-Ljbffr Electricenergyonline
