Work Schedule:

90% FTE, 4-5 days/week: Monday – Friday, with a weekend rotation and occasional holiday coverage. Typical core weekday hours are 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. No call requirements. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to:

\n
    \n
  • Practice in a dynamic and challenging subspecialty working in close collaboration with interventional radiologists, nurses, technologists and other advanced practice providers
  • \n
  • Care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings referred to UW Health - Interventional Radiology with acute and chronic illness such as vascular disorders, hepatobiliary disease, acute bleeding, cancer, end-stage renal failure, renal outflow disorders and need for central venous access.
  • \n
  • Perform minor procedures inclusive of central line removals, drain manipulation/removals, G-tube exchanges and other minor procedures as deemed necessary to optimize patient care.
  • \n
  • Perform triage, new patient consultation and daily rounding as an integral member of our expanding inpatient interventional radiology consult service
  • \n

Education:

\n

If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.

\n

If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

\n

Licenses and Certifications:

\n

Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

\n

If Nurse Practitioner*:

\n
    \n
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • \n
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gero Primary Care, Adult, or Family.
  • \n
\n

If Physician Assistant*:

\n
    \n
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • \n
  • Active PA board certification
  • \n
\n
