The demand for real-time online analytics is changing the way organisations solve problems in the "Big Data" community and my client has developed a platform that applies advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to offer both a viable and long-term solutions faced by organisations in key industries.
There is a particular need for an individual who has spent a significant part of either their PhD, post-doc or commercial work experience in applying a variety of Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Text Mining methodologies in a hybrid role that sits between the core technology platform of the product and the business.
The role will appeal to individuals who enjoy the R&D element of their work but with an interest in real-world applications and suitable profiles should demonstrate the following:
-PhD calibre background in NLP, Text Mining or related Machine Learning subjects (covering text analysis, text processing, log-linear methods, LDA etc)
-The ability to convert research into practical algorithms in some computational/programming tools (Java, WEKA, Matlab etc).
-Evidence of an intuitive grasp of real-world problems and applications of advanced NLP/Text Mining methods.
