  • Supervise and Lead Team: Manage and lead a team of machinists and operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Machining Operations: Oversee and participate in the setup, operation, and maintenance of various machining equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Quality Documentation: Develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Production Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule production activities to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machining and production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall shop performance.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and supplies to ensure availability for production needs.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, quality control, and team performance to management.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in machining techniques, including CNC programming, setup, and operation. Strong understanding of machining processes and equipment.
  • Quality Control: Experience with quality documentation, inspection procedures, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a machine shop environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining or a related field is preferred.
