Legal Operations Manager PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Legal Operations Manager to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. The Legal Operations Manager will be a key partner in designing and implementing new programs and processes for the Legal Team that drive improvement and efficiency in our everyday practices. The Legal Operations Manager will lead initiatives to optimize legal processes, implement technology solutions for efficiency, establish a knowledge management system, oversee legal budgets and invoice requests, and act as a liaison to the company’s accounts payable team and outside counsel’s billing team. This role focuses on creating a streamlined legal operations function in the company. In addition, the Legal Operations Manager will also play a critical role in regular cross-functional management, including with the Information Technology team, across the organization.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Commercial, Compliance and HR, the Legal Operations Manager will help optimize the legal processes including: Lead management initiatives related to legal operations, such as process improvements, technology implementations, and organizational restructuring. Identify opportunities for process optimization, and efficiency gains within the legal department. Organize and track milestones and requirements for successful launch of legal and legal related initiatives. Manage software tools, including creating approval workflows for access and provisioning user credentials. Audit the use of software tools with an eye towards continually improving how they are configured. As needed, assist with project management of Legal projects and initiatives as they arise Create and maintain an intranet website to house resources efficiently for PBF’s Legal team and an information hub for departments seeking to collaborate with the Legal team. Optimize and manage the Legal team’s financial processes, including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, expense administration, e-billing, and matter management. Manage the implementation of new procurement management software and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum 8 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of operations and process creation and implementation. Experience working with internal and external Information Technology personnel in creating, administering and maintaining new systems and accounts. Experience dealing with pricing, billing and sales departments of vendors to set up customer pricing information databases and systems to ensure accurate billing. Strong analytical ability and able to prioritize multiple projects. Excellent problem solving, project management, attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills. Skilled in creating and optimizing efficient processes. Customer (internal and external) centric mindset. Ability to see around corners, predict and eradicate blockers, collaborate internally and externally. Ability to use various legal and legal operations software tools. Ability to administer and manage contracts portfolios and negotiate terms contained in Statements of Work. Analyze pricing information related to vendor accounts. Experience handling information technology issues. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate’s compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases. In addition to salary, PBF offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes bonus eligibility, health care, retirement benefits, and paid time off.
