Job Description

Overview Feed the Children is seeking a compassionate changemaker to join our Legal & Regulatory team as a Legal Operations Manager . This role, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, oversees day-to-day operations of the Global Legal Department, supports the legal team in achieving strategic goals, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to streamline legal operations and implement best practices in legal management. The ideal candidate will work from our corporate office in Oklahoma City, OK, with consideration for qualified remote candidates in Texas, the East Coast, or the DMV area. Salary range: $75K-$80K (commensurate with experience). Responsibilities Legal Operations Management – Oversee daily operations of the Global Legal Department, ensuring efficient workflows, retention, and resource allocation. Process Improvement – Create, implement, and maintain processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of legal services, including evolving homegrown legal intake and contract repository system in Formstack and Power BI apps. Budget Management – Manage the Global Legal Department's budget, track expenses, complete variance reports, and recommend optimized resource allocation. Project Management – Support and/or lead strategic projects for the Global Legal Department, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and monitoring progress, risks, and mitigation plans. Governance & Legal Structure – Maintain global entity registration and governance trackers; assist in preparing governance-related materials. Litigation / Liabilities Oversight – Coordinate and maintain global litigation and demand trackers; prepare metrics and presentations for the Board, insurers, and Executive Team; ensure proper reporting of claims and liabilities; collect monthly updates from Country Directors. Contract Management – Oversee contract management system, including intake, review, repository, renewals, and compliance; develop standardized templates and approval workflows; maintain records; provide training on contracts. Legal Technology & Innovation – Identify and implement legal tech solutions; stay current with trends; train the legal team on tools. Information Governance & Knowledge Management – Update and maintain legal references, templates, playbooks, and knowledge resources; manage SharePoint sites; contribute to training and onboarding modules. Cross-functional Collaboration – Work with finance, HR, IT and others to align on legal initiatives. Culture & Leadership – Establish an environment of high performance, continuous improvement, collaboration, and respectful dialogue; model expected professional behavior and leadership. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field required. Experience: 5+ years in legal operations, project management, or related field; experience in a global nonprofit or mission-driven organization strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of legal intake processes and contract management; experience managing legal projects with internal and external counsel; ability to train and influence stakeholders at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in legal technology tools; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Solutions-oriented with ability to prioritize, set expectations, and take initiative; comfortable working independently and cross-functionally. Desirable: familiarity with low-code automation tools; PMP, Scrum or Agile project management skills. Notes Note: A cover letter and resume MUST be submitted with your formal application.
