Instructional Designer – ERP Implementation (SAP)

Location: Bolingbrook / Chicago, IL

7+ Month Contract

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support a major ERP rollout, likely SAP. This role will design and develop training programs, e-learning modules, and instructional materials specifically for ERP systems. The ideal candidate will have experience creating content for complex software implementations and collaborating with technical teams and SMEs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ERP-focused training materials, including e-learning courses, facilitator guides, and job aids.
• Collaborate with SAP implementation teams and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to ERP training programs.
• Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Conduct needs assessments and recommend ERP-specific learning solutions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design with ERP or SAP implementation projects.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and LMS platforms.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with multimedia design and basic graphic editing is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Familiarity with SCORM/AICC standards and accessibility guidelines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
