Job Title: HVAC Foreman

Location: Manhattan, NY

Pay: $50/hour + Benefits

We are an established and growing commercial mechanical contractor seeking a highly skilled HVAC Foreman to oversee field operations on mid- to large-scale commercial projects throughout New York City’s five boroughs . This role is for a strong, hands-on leader who can manage crews, maintain productivity, and deliver high-quality HVAC installations in demanding urban environments.

The HVAC Foreman will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, leading HVAC installation crews, coordinating with project management and other trades, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and NYC codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and motivate HVAC field crews on commercial job sites
• Plan and assign daily work activities, manpower, and equipment
• Install and oversee commercial HVAC systems including:
• Ductwork, piping, VAVs, RTUs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems
• Read, interpret, and build from mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
• Coordinate work with general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades
• Maintain jobsite safety in compliance with OSHA, company, and NYC requirements
• Track productivity, material usage, and manpower hours
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or cost
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure installations meet company standards
• Participate in job meetings and provide field updates to project management
• Train, mentor, and evaluate journeymen and apprentices
• Maintain daily reports, timecards, and jobsite documentation as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience , with foreman or lead mechanic experience preferred
• Strong background in commercial mechanical construction (not residential)
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Familiarity with NYC mechanical codes and jobsite conditions
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain productivity in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
