Warehouse Forklift Operator

We are currently hiring for high-reach forklift operators for a premier warehouse located in the Elizabethtown area.

Pay Rate: $18-21 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am to finished

MUST be available to work OT and working in cold and damp and freezer conditions. Temperature typically ranges 32 degrees. Freezer temps between 0 - -10 degrees.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks
• Put away product
• Build pallets up to 6' high
• High picking accuracy
• Familiar with production of food and the picking of raw materials and the put away of finished goods.
• Support the production room
• Pick all Single Source orders for 2nd shift loadout with % accuracy and a 120cs/hr picking quota
• High degree of accuracy
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Ability to move and lift wooden skids or pallets
• Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.

Education / Experience / Working Relationships

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 yr. of forklift & (high)reach-truck (stand up) experience
• Minimum 1 yr. warehouse, dock & picking experience
• Reports to Dock Supervisor
• FSQA training
• Problems are solved using basic knowledge, skills and general practices
• Basic Math skills

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Occasional (up to 3hrs) sitting, walking, and kneeling
• Frequently (3-6 hrs.) bending at neck
• Constantly (6+ hrs.) bending at waist, squatting, twisting at neck & waist, grasping and pushing
• Lifting constantly (6+ hrs.) up to 75lbs
• Carrying constantly (6+ hrs.) up to 75lbs
• Driving forklifts and other equipment
• Working in cold and damp and freezer conditions. Temperature typically ranges 32 degrees. Freezer temps between 0 - -10 degrees.
• Operation of foot controls or repetitive foot movement
• Working around heavy equipment and machinery
• Problems are routine and solved using clear directions and procedures.
• Progress and direction are monitored by supervisor.
• Works with minimal supervision
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment.
