The Opportunity
We’re seeking a passionate and driven Cybersecurity IT Intern to join our team as a paid intern. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You will work closely with our IT team, contributing to real-world projects and learning about the critical role of cybersecurity in modern business.

Location
This is a hybrid position based out of our Morgantown, West Virginia, office. You’ll be expected to work in the office three days a week.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist with vulnerability scanning and reporting.
• Help monitor and analyze security alerts and logs.
• Participate in incident response activities and help with root cause analysis.
• Aid in the implementation and maintenance of security tools.
• Assist with the development and delivery of security awareness training.
• Support day-to-day IT operations, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Help with network configuration and maintenance tasks.
• Document IT and security procedures.

Your Background:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A strong foundational understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (firewalls, antivirus, encryption, etc.).
• Familiarity with different operating systems, particularly Windows and Linux.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and a desire to learn.
• Good organizational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
• Able to operate standard office/computer equipment. 
• Must be able to perform physical work – exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
