Job Description

Western Tidewater CSB is seeking a Credentialing Specialist.

Responsibilities and Duties for a Credentialing Specialist:

  • Ensure that all current and newly licensed staff are credentialed and remain credentialed on multiple insurance panels.
  • Be accountable to be organized and responsive to emails and peer questions
  • Provide routine credentialing status updates to directors and management
  • Monitor licensed staff for needed re-attestation and renewals, this includes completed any documentation and paperwork needs
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Administrator

Qualifications and Skills for a Credentialing Specialist:

  • High School diploma or GED Certificate
  • Minimum one (1) year of credentialing experience
  • Credentialing Certification preferred
  • Experience in Availity and CAQH preferred
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record (REQUIRED)
