Marzucco’s Construction and Coatings is a company that focuses largely on preserving and enhancing the exterior envelopes of high-rise condominiums. We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in high-rise restoration to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for existing building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of restoration means and methods, sequencing, access systems, and working in occupied buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for high-rise restoration projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and site investigations
• Review bid documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope, risks, and exclusions
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and access requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, operations, and ownership during preconstruction
• Develop value-engineering options and alternates when applicable
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and bid tracking
• Assist with bid submissions and post-bid reviews

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in existing building or high-rise restoration
• Strong knowledge of façade restoration, concrete repair, waterproofing, masonry, and related trades
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and reports
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Build Xact, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and time-management abilities

Preferred Experience:

 

• High-rise access systems (scaffolding, swing stages, mast climbers)
• Working on occupied buildings
• Preconstruction planning and constructability reviews
• Local restoration codes and façade inspection programs (where applicable)
