Job Title: Machinist and Programmer
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machinist and Programmer to program parts on various CNC Verticals, Horizontals, 5-Axis mills, and Cells according to customer specifications. The role involves setting up and running 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes, training and developing machinists, programming with MasterCam 2025, and designing fixtures for CNC Mill runs. Review blueprints, establish sequences of operations, update programs as needed, and produce setup sheets for operators.

Responsibilities

• Program parts for CNC Verticals, Horizontals, 5-Axis mills, and Cells.
• Set up and run 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes.
• Train and develop machinists on the floor.
• Program using MasterCam 2025.
• Review blueprints and establish operation sequences.
• Update programs with necessary changes.
• Establish correct tools for each machine.
• Design fixtures for CNC Mill runs.
• Produce setup sheets for operators.

Essential Skills

• 5 years experience with MasterCam programming software (2020 or above).
• 5 years experience setting up and running 5-axis CNC mills.
• Strong knowledge of tolerance, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with HEM (High Efficiency Machining) is helpful.
• Experience with SolidCam is helpful.
• Experience as a CNC mill machinist.
• Experience programming ferrous, non-ferrous metals, and plastics.
• Skills to plan and program complicated parts according to blueprint.

Work Environment

Work in an air-conditioned machine shop with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 4:30 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
