Now Hiring: Buffer (1st Shift)

Location: Charles City, Iowa

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

Join a dynamic team committed to maintaining the pristine condition of RVs, Motorhomes, and Charter Buses. As a Buffer, you’ll work in a fast-paced production environment, performing buffing, painting, and inspection tasks to ensure high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Buff and paint surfaces of RVs, Motorhomes, and Charter Buses.
• Climb ladders to access various areas for buffing and painting.
• Accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Wipe down vehicle fronts and inspect for sanding or buffing needs.
• Apply protective wax or paint sealants.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and report necessary paint repairs.
• Operate rotary or orbital buffers to remove scratches and swirl marks.
• Install 3M film on vehicle surfaces.
• Mix paint for daily production needs.
• Prepare and place touch-up paint kits inside units.
• Remove masking materials (paper, tape, plastic) after inspection clearance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Capable of performing physical labor.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with machine operation and hand tools.
• Strong team fit and positive attitude.

Work Environment

• Shift: 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM), Monday through Friday.
• Production setting with physical activity and machinery operation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
