Assistant Electrical Estimator - Construction

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Assisting the Estimating group with all aspects of estimating to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
\n

\n

\n
• Ability to learn how read & understand drawings & specifications.
\n
• Determine responsibility of a scope of work per drawings and specifications.
\n
• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive bids and proposals, ensuring all cost elements are accurately reflected and presented professionally to clients.
\n
• Ability to learn how to conduct online takeoffs to be submitted to electrical and alike vendors.
\n

\n

\n
• Utilize company databases, historical data, and industry benchmarks to estimate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for each project.
\n

\n

\n
• Request quotes from vendors for materials by providing a full detailed Bill of Material based of the construction issued documents.
\n

\n

\n
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and coordinate delivery schedules to support project timelines and budget requirements.
\n

\n

\n
• Maintain organized records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
\n
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with clients, contractors and vendors.
\n
• Ability to learn and understand the NEC National Electric Codes - educating yourself on updating electrical codes and products on the market.

Job Requirements:

\n

\n
• Field electrical experience. Minimum of 3-5 Years of Field Experience
\n

\n

\n
• Must be a motivated individual, trustworthy and have excellent work habits.
\n
• Trade/High School Education
\n
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, and various computer skills.
\n
• Ability to learn and use Accubid Estimating software to include Live Count from Accubid.
\n
• Must be able to conduct Takeoffs via On-Screen Takeoff Procedure.
\n
• Must Have Blue Beam Software Experience.
\n
• A self-starter who is independently driven to succeed
\n
• Aptitude for math
\n
• Willingness to form relationships with customers
\n
• Communication Skills must be exceptional.
\n
• Analytical and tactical thinking is a requirement
\n
• Ability to become a team member
\n

\n

Physical and Other Requirements:

\n

\n
• Must be able to sit, bend, stoop.
\n
• Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
\n
• Must be able to climb, crawl and squat as the job demands.
\n
