Assembly Technician Donatech Corporation

Base Pay Range

$20.00/hr - $25.96/hr

W2 employee of Donatech
US citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned solder processes (e.g., soldering components, configuring cabling, and wiring)
• Perform a variety of mechanical or electro?mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub?assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature
• Assemble complex, small assemblies with high quality and efficiency
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, following prescribed safety procedures
• Build wiring harnesses, solder, and perform PCB assembly of electrical and electro?optical sub?assemblies
• Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives
• Adjust, fit, or align parts as needed following an engineered assembly process
• Use hand tools such as long?nose pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
• Maintain consistent quality and productivity levels
• Perform visual inspections of materials for defects and conduct functional tests to ensure proper operation during assembly
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Report deviations and conduct quality inspections at specified intervals
• Use Microsoft Office programs
• Identify problems and contribute to process improvements
• Work as part of a team and collaborate to accomplish tasks
• Support group objectives for on?time delivery and verify use of the most updated procedures
• Follow industry 6S practices
• Crimp cables using a wide range of hand crimping tools
• Transport up to 25 lbs
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work overtime as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or 2 years post?secondary/Associate degree with 02 years of related experience
• Proficient computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office navigation
• J?STD Solder experience
• Manual labor experience
• 1+ year reading and following drawings and work instructions
• 2+ years using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers
• 1+ year using a microscope for extended periods of time
• United States citizenship required

Preferred Additional Skills

• Strong mechanical background
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and bills of material
• Familiarity with J?STD?001
• Strong customer focus
