Job Title: Aerial Fiber Optic Installation Technician

Location: Multiple Counties in Alabama (Etowah, St. Clair, Shelby, Madison)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are hiring a highly experienced Aerial Fiber Optic Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of field experience in aerial coaxial and fiber optic cable installation. You must be comfortable working at heights using a bucket truck and have strong knowledge of aerial hardware and installation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Install aerial fiber optic and coaxial cable from pole to pole.
• Lash cabling to guy wire and secure to poles using proper hardware.
• Transfer cable from old to new poles as needed.
• Read and interpret engineered overhead fiber prints.
• Operate a bucket truck up to 30 feet in height.
• Work on job sites across designated Alabama counties.
• Maintain punctuality at site laydown areas or designated meeting points.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable field experience in aerial cabling.
• In-depth knowledge of aerial installation tools, equipment, and methods.
• Ability to pass a hands-on skills assessment (bucket truck operation, component knowledge).
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must own a basic aerial tool set.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel up to 45-50 minutes to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CDL License (or ability to obtain one with a clean driving record).
• Experience working in Alabama counties listed above.
