*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, HVAC systems, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related equipment across various commercial and residential properties. The HVAC Installer will work closely with project managers and service technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality installations, adhering to safety standards and technical specifications.
*Duties*
* Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ductwork according to schematics and design plans
* Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents
* Perform system troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment
* Conduct equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation of HVAC/R systems
* Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC installations when necessary
* Use welding techniques for ductwork fabrication or repairs as required
* Operate power tools and mechanical equipment safely during installation projects
* Follow all safety protocols including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and other hazardous materials
* Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used on each project
* Collaborate with property maintenance teams for ongoing system upgrades or repairs
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in construction, service technician roles, or field service related to HVAC or appliance repair
* Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC design, schematics reading, and equipment repair
* Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
* Experience working with plumbing systems, welding, boiler operation, or property maintenance is desirable
* Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driver preferred
* Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration technology
* Mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance or appliance repair is advantageous
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments requiring physical activity such as lifting or climbing ladders

Pay: $25.00 - $33.25 per hour
